Breast cancer awarness month is oct. so i found this cute cozy for any cup. In support for all the strong woman who fight breast cancer. i sure want to try this patter. But i thought i would share it with you before OCt is over !! hehe 🙂 enjoy
Breast Cancer Awareness Cup Cozy (crochet) MEASUREMENTS
Approx 3½” [9 cm] long and 5″ [12.5 cm] diameter across
top edge. MATERIALS
Bernat® Handicrafter (50 g/1.75 oz; 73 m/80 yds)
Contrast A (00002 Off White) 1 ball
Contrast B (13011 Softly Taupe) 1 ball
Contrast C (13046 Rose Pink) 1 ball
Note: 1 ball each of A, B, and C will make 2 Cup Cozies.
Sizes 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) and 6 mm (U.S. J or 10) crochet
hooks or size needed to obtain gauge.
12 sc and 13 rows = 4″ [10 cm] with smaller hook.
Note: When joining colors, work to last 2 loops on hook
of first color. Draw new color through last 2 loops and
With larger hook and holding 2 strands of A tog, ch 20. Join
in ring with sl st into first ch.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each ch around. Join B with sl st to
first sc. 20 sc.
2nd rnd: With B, ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join A with
sl st to first sc.
3rd rnd: With A, ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join B with
sl st to first sc.
4th rnd: With B, ch 1. *2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next
9 sc. Rep from * once more. Join with sl st to first sc. Join
A. 22 sc.
5th rnd: As 3rd rnd.
6th rnd: As 2nd rnd.
7th rnd: With A, ch 1. *2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next
10 sc. Rep from * once more. Join B with sl st to first sc.
8th rnd: As 2nd rnd.
9th rnd: As 3rd rnd. Fasten off.
With smaller hook and C, ch 18.
1st rnd: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook (counts as 2 hdc).
1 hdc in each of next 5 ch. 2 hdc in next ch. 4 hdc in next ch.
2 hdc in next ch. 1 hdc in each of next 7 ch. Fasten off.
Cross ends of Ribbon and sew to Cozy as shown.
